Found some calipers today from Oriental spares at lonsadale. Guys were really helpfull and let me go through their stock to find the right calipers

I found both S12+8 and S12w calipers but only a left for the S12+8's. So sized both up and were identical other that cast design, so i left with the S12w's.

Is it the caliper here that has to be machined to meet hub?

good thing is it all clear my 13's

nah thats not where i machined

when i said hub.... well thats not what i meant

i meant the centre of the disc i guess, not where the pads touch but the protrusion from the centre of the disc, if you got your caliper bolt holes to line up then you clearly didnt have the same problem though, as mine did not bolt up until machining was done

although maybe thats not a problem until you put pintara discs on

edit... thought you had disc on but you dont, you will see when you do... i ordered slotted u12 pintara discs for mine... had the calipers rebuilt at brake shop too, wasnt much more than 100 for that

Why bother with $600 each for alloy hat discs to reduce weight when you put a beheamoth caliper on it ?

ok so this looks wrong.

s12w calipers dont seem to fit rotor correctly. This is dummied up but still cant see it getting any better. Shaved a little off the bottom of the caliper so rotor is centered on stub but touches in a couple of areas.... rotor hub touches brake pad backing plate and brake pads extend past rotor. Cant see hoe s12w is a correct option. Must be the s12+8 caliper only.

I have found alot of good info for 280zx struts but im unsure whether they are the same stub axle size and whether the ears for the brake bolt up is the same distance away from the stub compared to stanza ones? anyone know? If they are i could keep the s12w's and use a 300zx vented rotor with a alloy spacer.
