Only one person interested, I'll jump at the opportunity, if you find out it is not for you, hell, what a nice experience it would be to give it a shot and learn. 1200Rally do you have accommodation for me and maybe a full time job prepping the car.

We are in the process of getting all the info together for RSA Rallies, definitely starting with All Tar Rallies and then if money allows it move onto Gravel. If I enter with a 1200 and run a 1400 motor I'll be only one of 2 in the S1 class, the only bummer, but if you are there for the experience and to have fun, why the heck not.

Most rally's in WA are pace noted, we will do 2 passes and note down everything you can. these seem harder at first but with every corner noted and most big corners numbered it’s not too bad.

We do have 2 rallies that are route charted (blind rally) you get no passes on them you have a book that will tell you the main direction at intersections and will warn of very bad obstacles but that’s it you will go as fast as you can with no idea what could be around the next bend or over the next crest. Again you would think for a co-driver it sound easy but you only have a rough idea of when the next big corner is and there could be 4 corners in between so knowing which is the right one can be hard.

That photo of the car was at Rally Aus back in 06' and we where the fastest of all the old cars there. In the last race we were up against a 600hp V8 commodore and kick his arse.

I am a serious competitor who is after a state title so I need someone how is really keen to give it a go.

Normally a co-driver will pay the entry fee for the event of about $600-$700 but I will spend over $1000 on tyres per event plus $500 on fuel plus and repairs and there are always little repairs.

Please our sport is lacking co-drivers so let’s not see these type of events die in WA.

If you are serious you will need to get a cams licence $150 and join a car club $50 and pass an online safety test (easy).

And then hang on for the most fun you could ever have, when you finish a 20km stage and you have gone as fast as you can you will not sleep for days.

I found the pacenoting to be the harder part of my job when I did some navigating, It was my first rallysprint in late 2007. At the time I had trouble getting the license cos cams were having trouble going through staff so I canceled it. I have to do the whole process again to get the signature from an observed license test.

Not saying that to discourage anyone as cams have improved that area since then. I'd jump at the chance to do an event as I have the time but I can't as I don't have the money.

You asked the BMSC forums?

I remember that race, you totally kicked his ass! Seeing your car perform at Gloucester park motivated me to get back into 1200's.
Just wish I could help, good luck.
