I have just purchased a ford escort which is faster than any datsun 1200 ever. It is a Mk2 running a toyota 4age with a garret T3 strapped to the side. It is developing about 350hp and does the 1/4 mile in 12.3 on road tires. Id like to see any datsun compete with that.

put the original ford lump in it and come back and tell me a FORD escort is faster than any datsun, not a toyota MK2 escort. still a very nice car, I had a mk2 esky for a year and loved it.

Hahahahaaha I know alot of Datto's that can beat that, andrew's coupe is pushing 400HP.
Dattodude's sewdan shouldn't be to far from that either (when he gets it finished). I like fords they outdid themselves with the recent BA series, but I'd prefer a datto then an Escort
