Help!! Wider tunnel = no heater box.. Alternatives????

Hey guys i know this has probably been asked about before but i am getting a maddat tunnel for a CA conversion...
What have ppl done about the heater box removal and getting it passed?
If possible what things have been used and where you have got these from/price. Thanks

12v camping hairdryers. Needs heavy wiring, but stops the need for water to be routed into the cabin.
I've not done it myself, but I'm considering it.

Thanks for that dattodude i have been told of something like this by maddat. I want to get rid of the water hoses running to the engine bay so works well but i still need to know the info on how and what to use and where to get these from. Thanks mate.

Anyone done this and got some pics and info???

For a cheap car these datos can get super expensive....!

jay car- ebay- aussie dispoals store. they work, not the best but they doo work.

not sure why you need heavy duty wiring- the cigarette plug wiring is ok for them.

been looking into this and it seems to be the best option, u can also buy from rare sapres, or hotrod shop a cermaic ones but they not as good

an alternative is to use a different tunnel

i use a stanza tunnel and still have factory heater, its tight but it fits..

you could use auto tunnel or 120y or similar??

Hotroders use eletric ones that they can hide under the dash, maybe something like that??

they are about $200 for a decent one, hard wiring 2 hair dryers into the ducts would work just as well. plus you could dry your hair if your running late for work in the morning

Thanks for the feed back guys.

ANGE i have thought about the different tunnels but i cant be stuffed finding one and my ute is at the engineers at the moment and he is going to seem weld one in for me.

Hair dryers it is then i think... Will free up some good space in the cabin and tidy up the engine bay...

Thanks again has anyone got a good brand to use or pics of this????
