I've tried to do research but not getting a lot of info and different manufacturer's specs sheets are confusing me!
Unless there is a reason why i'm going to get a wade cam as they are close to me and give me trade price so here's the story A15 engine, possible overbore and aiming for 10:1 comp head ported to gx specs with 41mm inlet and 33mm exhaust valves double valve springs shimmed to take plenty of lift quad 40mm (from memory) throttle body fuel injection on long runners long as i could make fit 4-2-1 extractors into a 2 inch system in a 700ish kg 1000 wagon. currently has a wade 169 which is known as a 70 30 cam. the cam falls on its face after 5ish but produces great torque and drivability. It is for a street car so i don't want a silly powerband just a better cam for the application without going too big what have people used and how did it perform? cheers

Hi Mate,
Got a Wade 140 grind, which is 75-41 in my 1200 coupe A15 twin Dellortos. Good mid range torque considering, very happy with that and a good top end. I have 32mm chokes though, really need some 34mm to take advantage of the big top end of the cam. Go for it and report back on the awesome power you make with the TB injection setup! Cheers Matt

Wade 140 is the sh!t, My A15 runs 45mm throttle bodies and goes pretty good with that cam. Plenty of midrange and top end.

definately sounds the goods! i went in to wade today and they were vaguely recommending a cam that is much smaller than that.
how would you think it would go as a street cam? pig down low?

Just for a giggle,
I run a Wade 629B, 86/56 with .497 valve lift, Not really a street grind. Seriously though, from experiance go for a bigger camshaft over a smaller one , not to massive, the A-series love to breath.

I wonder what that member from South Africa is running?
He posted recently on his rebuild.

it sounds like the 140 could be the go, the other option is their one a step down from that. anyone have one in a street car?

from those responses i would go one step down
why not make it a nice street car, nothing sillier than a high reving machine on the street if you like traffic light derbies, its sounds rediculous if the guy next to you is revving the absolute ring hole out of his machine, even if he is a bit quicker i love the a15 with a mild cam, burn away from the regular traffic at 3/4 throttle with out going past 4000rpm and not even sounding like your trying surely the motor will last longer if your not reving to 7000 plus, just booting along using the torque not often going above 4-4500rpm with the injection you will get much better performance down low too i think you will find all the high reving junkies are running webers/delortos, the high revs seem great with these carbies cause they only ever run well at full throttle You can view topic.
