Stock drivetrain fluid suggestions.

Hey guys, I've just finished an engine swap and in the process I dropped all the trans fluid. I checked my workshop manual And couldn't find the fluid specifactions.
What gearbox oil have people used with a 56A 4spd? Also what diff oil for a standard sedan diff? Cheers Tom.

Gearbox needs GL-4 gear lube.
In the diff you can use the more common GL-5 stuff. 80W-90 will do.

I am using Redline MT90 in both the diff and tranny.

Just make sure it is GL-4 so that it protects the older style synchros, which diffs don't need to worry about.
The specification: API GL-4MIL-L-2105 75W-90 is great. Examples: CHEVRON Multiservice Gear Lub. 75,80,90,140 ESSO Gear Oil GP80,90,140 MOBIL Mobilube EP or GX80-90, 90, 140 SHELL Spirax 75EP,80EP, 90EP, 140EP SUNOCO Multipurpose GearLub. GL-480,90,140 TEXACO Universal Gear Lub.EP80,90,140
