Hey guys,
Whats the length of a standard 1200 accelerator cable?? As mine's snapped and I need to know the length it is to get a new one made up. Also would anyone have the nut that screws onto the firewall for the accel cable as I seem to have misplaced mine.

You should be able to buy a universal accel cable from just about anywhere. If not take the two halves with you.

As for the nut, same deal match up a bolt that has the same thread and go to youir nearest nuts/bolts place - they should nearly give you one.

Have Nissan deleted this part from their listing?

Yeah Nissan are gay where I am from, I asked them about a part for my coupe and the guy laughed at me and said they don't make parts for them, they are too old. So I felt like a complete tool.

I need to know length that way I can get a new one made up, I've lost the nut and it's a pretty unique nut so not many places here would have it. Where I live if it looks different then something off a Bommadore, then they automatically say nah we don't have it, then I ask could they get one in and they just say no.

I've got an S13 accel cable and I am going to get bits of it graphed onto a new cable to suit my CA18 but I need that nut or a solution to my problem.

The nut isn't the same one as the cable clutch adjusting locknut is it?

Just a thought.

Don't worry - its the same down here - we have a very large "Too Hard Basket" which everything gets thrown in.

Ummmmmmm knowning my luck it probably is because I sold my clutch cable, as it has no use with a hydro clutch, oh well I'll just have to roam round finding one

I'll have a scout around in the garage and see what i can find.....................you never know.

If its the same as the standard accel cable nut - you might have to borrow a mates if they've got a datto and then match one up.

I'll have a look though anyway - If ive got one it'll only cost me 50c to post one up so fingers crossed.
