Hmm it might be worth draining fuel and putting in a fresh 10 litres?
How much fuel is in your tank?

You said your air filter and dizzy cap was wet
a wet airfilter would meen there is a high chance that at some stage there would be water in your cylinders

so as i said before make sure your spark plugs are in a good state.
water in a dizzy cap makes the electrical contact points corode very fast
make sure the little nobby bits on the underside of your distributor cap are clean
also the rotor button, clean the breaker points also.

i know i have gone back and forth between fuel and electrical
but imo trying everything is worth it in your current situation

goodluck sumith
and remember its a datsun! Chances are its gunna be good as gold with some time and patience
