haha yea i have asked a few dumb qeustions in the process of getting this thing running ,and i hassled a couple of people to get the wiring sorted (bailz, old_school) but i did the actual wiring on my own
and the rust repair was done mostly by ,datski620 and levey so i had no hand in that !

ok so tonight i welded my clutch master cylinder bracket up under the dash ,and i plated up the big hole that was in the floor from the standard shifter ,it looks pretty good but i need to smooth of the welds and then bog it nice and smooth :)
oh and i mounted a hand brake setup but then i thought of a better setup so im cutting the vertical one of that i made tonight
oh and i finished my dump pipe ,i needed to cut it in half and then cut a wedge of one side on the cut ,then i welded it back together ,but i put too much angle on it and it is realy close to the steering block thingo on the chassis rail
and i hooked up my rubber fuel lines aswell ,i need to plug the harnesss back in and then try to start it in the car tomorrow :):) oh and is there a trick to getting a CA starter motor in while the motor is still in the car ?
and i am going to cut the lower part of the rear quarters of the sedan tommorow to try and use on the coupe
yyeeoow im actually getting stuff done for once !
and i did more work tonight that what i did on the work day when nige and brett came down ! but still i didnt realy have any idea of what to do so i just stood back and watched ,but i am now getting abit better on the old ozito welder and i can weld okish on thick steel but on panel steel i have to be realy careful not to blow holes ,and im getting an ozito welder in a couple of weeks and then i wont have to borrow nigel haha ,and my tailshaft is being sorted atm ,as im getting yokes sorted and a quote of phil at final drive ,and im getting my diff done too ,so its all go now and i am getting abit done
im pretty pleased with my self so far ,but brett and nigel are life savers !

with that dump pipe jesse. just wait till i get there and i will weld it for you...just cut it up and get it ready to be welded...i wouldnt trust the ozito for a big weld like that

oh i welded it at work with a 275 amp CIG welder and i welded it all up but the dump pipe hits on the steering arm and if i shorten the stud that hits i can still use it ,oh and it only hits on the arm not the mount so i can gring it out abit
today i bolted my clutch back on and bolted my gear box back on but i was tightening one of the bolts and it didnt even start to tighten before i saw matel shavings come out of the back ,but i have a solution ! i will put a bolt on the back and just grind the bell housing so that i can slide a bolt in there and it will be sweet !
and i mounted up my clutch master and im going to run a rubber line from the slave cylinder up to the floor and weld one of those holders of a strut into the floor so i just screw the steel line into the fitting mounted on the floor ,and what slave cylinder is everyone running ? i need one and a tail shaft to get it drivable soonish ,hhmm bog laps around the hood haha
and i found out that there is no easy way to put the starter motor in ,as its hard to do it with the motor out ,let alone with it in ,and its easyer when there isnt any manifold braces either
do i need my knock sensor hooked up and is it resisted wire ? will the motor run properly with out it ?
will the computer change the pulse to get the fuel mixture right if i run RB26 injectors or will it need remapping ? as for a hand brake (as im scraping the old setup ) could i run a VZ commo one mounted on the side of the tunnel ,i saw one at the wrecker and i reckon it would work pretty well ! and look good
how do i get sound deadener of the floor ? ,dry ice ?
will a commo diff yoke fit on a skyline diff ,as i can get one next week and then we can maybe drive the coupe if i get that sorted and the clutch setup done ,yeeooowww

i just use a chisel to get the stuff off...found that way much faster and then just use a wire wheel to get the rest off...
