Well that would be another option but 1 was torn off in a accident and the other is damaged

it is possible to chrome plastic!
just look at many datun parts like;
mirrors and also 1200 tail light surrounds.

anything can be chromed it just has to be painted with a special metalic paint as to give the chrome something to stick to in the chromeing process

Perhaps you would be able to name the "special metallic paint" required to chrome plastic As I have a few parts here that I would love to be chromed...........

I hope you are not referring to the horrible aftermarket tail light surrounds available (the ones where the chrome starts to flake off after about a month).

If you know a business that can do it then please let us know (I reckon it would be VERY expensive if its possible).

Anyone got any pics of their (Rear plastic chromed bumpers)?

I wouldn't have a clue what it is called?

The Bronzing Studio
in Castle Hill, Sydney
Ph- 9899 9122
will be able to help you, if there to far then I would recomend you ring around the electroplaters near yourself.

The price is more than just chroming metal because it is a longer process.

The taillight surrounds I am refering to are the factory 1200 sedan surrounds and the mirrors are the sunny ones which are exactly the same as 1200 ones except they are chrome.

Yeah, there was an article in Fast/hot 4's about a year ago that talked about chroming.
Yeah you can chrome anything.
The reason I remember it is because one of the things that was going to be chromed in the picture was a rubber/plastic lobster.

I wouldn't worry about getting the paint stuff though, just let the chroming place to do it too.
