I'm currently in the same boat as you. This seems to be a fairly grey area, but I'd like to get a decent booster - master cylinder setup going now while I've got the engine out for the rebuild.

I've been told every thing from 120y's, to a Sunny booster with a 180B mastercylinder.

Reward out to someone who can put us straight!

i'm pretty sure, if you grab the booster and the master cylinder, you should be safe.

I use an La/LB Lancer booster and master, as long as you get the adapter part with teh booster it's a direct bolt on, it has great stopping power, although it's a fairly long booster but not that should really deter you from it.

Just a thought. Also Dattodude uses the same booster, he was the one who convinced me to use the lancer booster.

Cheers
Damo

kegs. I'm only pretty new on the dato scene, but I put a pair of 80 model sunny struts (disk brake) and I feel there is no need to put a booster as it has a good feel in the brake pedal and I can lock up all 4 wheels in saying that I need to do something about the rear brakes as they are coming on a bit stronger than they should

Im using a 180B booster on my 1200 ute and it does a pretty good job. I have Verada discs with VS Commodore calipers up front and VP discs and calipers up the back.

I believe there was also a brake bias adjuster in the early (HQ?) Holdens. Shouldnt cost more than $20.
