Im wearing it down. manifolds are on and finished. Intercooling plumbing done. It now has an operational throttle and a brake. i ordered a clutch master cyl from Sydney today. Oil system and cooling next.

Im still reasonably confident i`ll be there. Im a little worried about the scruitineering side of thing when i do get there.
I want to get there for friday practice to bed in brakes and get the brake balance somewhere near the mark. It gives me Saterday to fix any teething dramas before Sunday aswell.

Just too much that could go wrong with a new car!

Big thanks to "D" for the help getting the gearbox in!

thats datsun dedication right there!

Im really looking forward to this event, ive got the ute handling pretty well now i think..
i just hope that it corners well enough at speed, and is not totally unbalanced...
It will be the first time its done repeated laps around a track too so hopefully it handles it ok mechanically
ive just gotta lash out and buy a decent seat and im ready.. better get onto that..

keep at it sikyne..
you'll be rewarded for your hard work when your blasting around the track all weekend!

hey bob, how long a break do you normally get between sessions at these events?
long enough to make some adjustments to your car?

and do they normally run a warm up session so we can get a look at the circuit?
also get our cars up to temp rather than flogging them straight off the trailer?

not long now.. cant wait

Hi Ange
There is a morning warm up at about 9 to get everything including yourself organised.
After that we end up with about an hour between sessions so there is plenty of time for a bit of tinkering.
The go is to get there as early as possible ,confirm or enter first and then hop into the scrutineering line.Get all that out of the way so you are ready for practice
Cheers
bob
