Lookin good matey. Just in case ya didn't think of it. If ya using the kill rust enamel from the tin might help to get a small tin of enamel hardener and add a little it should help with the drying and will reduce the paint scratching/chipping easy as most enamels do even on the inside. Due to the fact that enamel doesnt by nature dry hard without hardener. P.S Thanks for the bits got em yesterday let me know when the other bits are up for sale.

Nick couldnt use the carrier on a later h190?

Also if you can get a heated room youll be better off especially if it can
sit at around 50 degrees overnight and day it should set much tougher.
I used the cheapest 2 dollar enamel red on my steelies and let them sit
in a tin shed during the summer and they are almost scratch proof.

yeah did i bit of testing of the kill rust...matt black kill rust dries fine over the seam sealer, seems that its only the green that really has a problem with it

D, yes i could use a later H190 housing, but then i'd need to find different axles that are long enough to be shortened or short enough to not need it. bluebird ones are not long enough to be shortened to the right length

cant say i'll be getting a bake room for the enamel to set worst case is i just paint it again at a later stage. but then its not paint you will see so i dont really care that much

rightio, actual update. spent a good 10 hours on the car yesterday bogging the rear quarters and stuff. was in too much of a rush to remember to take a pic of the bog before it got painted. so these will have to do, paint is rather thin on the inside but i figure that it doesnt need that much etch on the inside as there was paint there to start with

also found out why enamel and acrylic dont like each over when i etched over some killrust that was on the end of the sill...nice paint stripper effect
quarters didnt come up to bad, still gotta smooth the bottom of the drivers side and fix up a couple of other small spots ive noticed but it wasnt really too bad for the care factor i had at the end of the day

going out to drill some holes in the roof so that its ready to be welded on as ive given up on trying to find a spot welder

and hopefully might have the engine bay primed over the weekend and the bog finished off

right, was going to aim to finish off the bog, prime the engine bay and get the roof ready to weld on...but it seems that i had a big night last night that came from no where

so now its 1:30 and ive not made it out to the shed yet...think i'll aim to get the roof done so it can be attatched during the week then if i finish that off quick enough maybe do the bog

so did you get the bog done? would be better than my job. fake dremel broke so had to do by hand- lost patience and the finish isnt crash hot- but was planned to be a temp job.
