Your 1200 ute is just like a L-(G)B122 in Japan. Is 1200 ute still in production in Australia?

New Zealand had the Sunny Trucks named "Roadstar" and "Sportstar". There was an A15/5-speed option.

Also see our club's article:What body styles did the 1200 come in?

Thats strange..............
Mine is an 85 model with disc brake front end as standard.
85 was definately the last of them in Australia also noting that at this stage they are all badged with Nissan & not Datsun.
Mine came with retractable seatbelts (A12 - but now A15)and a tacho dash (round gauges).
Note that the previous owner who was the second owner of the vehicle said he never fitted and it was already in there. The original owner was a company and I doubt they would have fitted another dash or tacho but I'm not 100% sure.
Also has the "Handbrake warning light" on the top of the dash - have they all got these or when did they start.
I might turn it into a "stealth" shift light

Yeah I saw that light on your dash in your interior shot and wondered what it was. In japan '85s would have drums but they're may have been some option or dealer fitted package (like A/C).

My utes compliance plate says 4/85 it is A12, 4 speed manual, 4 wheel drum, Stealth dash light (handbrake), clock no tacho.
I got it off the original owner who bought it new here in Melb for $3400.00, i haved known him for 10+ years he might still have papers.
Check your pm Buff, we can compare engine #'s

I uploaded some pics for you to take a look. I thing you can view them here.

I have never seen the hand brake warning light on top of the dash. I do not think we have it in Japan. What is it for? By the way, the retractable seatblets came with standard on 1200 ute?

I don't think they had the front disc brakes as a dealer packages here. However, B110 strut and disc brake can be fitted to L-G(B)122. I am not sure but isn't this the case?

For the Japanese Sunny Trucks, the clock was a dealer option. It was mounted next to the speedometer. If the owner did not choose to have the option, it was black cover with "Sunny" logo. However, a lot of people here put tacho here, like on my B122. I heard that B110 tacho is also the same size.
