so im really missing having my car again after driving my brothers car at lunch today, its a ke20 corolla with an injected turbo 3tc. when i had my sedan on the road id get in the rolla and not think it was really that fast(no faster than my sedan with CA) but my car stopped and turned and generally drove better
but today i got in it after cruising around in miks 1200, the thing is like a rocket ship compared to the 1200, also stops a fair bit better too

so ive got the feel for driving a 1200 again after having miks car, but it really has nothing on what my sedan was
and to think the wagon will be better

I think Miks car is slow because of the way he drives it.
If it wasnt for you driving it the poor L series ports
would fill up with cobwebs :)

Any idea on wheels/rims?

yeah mik, maybe i should push a turbo into the engine bay so it has some kinda chance

D, wheels/rims for the wagon. will be the R30 Ti rims that were on the sedan till i find something better, might throw some fresh paint at them before they go on

and on an actual build thread related note, high fill annoys me greatly. has completely ruined the nice smooth finish the wagon had even after ive given it a good rubbing back
as it didnt go on even remotely smooth when i sand it back i end up with a while heap of tiny low spots in places
this annoys me greatly

went looking at colours, couldnt find the 1200 one...so without a name for it im #OOPS# out of luck

but i did find a datsun british racing green that was used from 75-78 i think, so it will probably be the winner
wouldnt mind seeing what it looked like on a car though

a whole page without pics...this isnt cool

should have a pic of the colour soon, bought a test can today to spray around on some stuff to see what it will actually look like
sprayed a bit on the old roof which is now my spray testing board...but the light in the shed was prety crappy so i couldnt really tell much from it
think ive got a spare guard around somewhere that i might throw some paint at

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE

so this is what the colour looks like...its green, looks like a green
used the sill that i just cut off miks car as a test piece for the can of colour that i bought, best paint job ever...about a half hour to rub it back, etch prime, rub that back, high fill, rub it back again then gave it about 4 coats of green

it didnt like the first coat of green though, the primer pretty much just sucked it all up and it turned grey again. a problem i hope that i dont actually have when i paint the shell as i dont really want to use 2 coats just to get it to start looking green

but yeah, here it is...as good as the camera can show it anyway
