We would need to know what the Teeth are on the cluster gear.

Is this for a Datsun gearbox?

Oh, duh, I see you provided Nissan part numbers...OK, from the wiki the part numbers you list appear to be GX-5 gears (direct-fifth five speed).

32230 is first gear

B110
* 32230-H7200 GEAR ASS'Y-1st, main shaft 5 speed
* 32250-H7200 GEAR ASS'Y-2nd, main shaft 5 speed
* 32260-H7200 GEAR ASS'Y-3rd, main shaft 5 speed
* 32270-H7200 GEAR ASS'Y-4th, main shaft 5 speed

This is the standard 5-speed, which is the wide ratio. Cluster gear is:
* 32213-H7200 GEAR-counter

Ratios are (from 56-Series_Transmission):
Quote:
3.757 2.374 1.659 1.291 1.000 4.040

so a stock useless 3.757 for the first :(
I was after a 2.8 or 2.6 for the first.
stocky is
3.757 (prefer 2.6)
2.169 (prefer 1.734 from 3 speed)
1.404 (prefer 1:1 from 3 speed)
1.000 (custom made 0.75)

Then an a14/15 would be perfect.
So I would like to spend 500aud for a 0.75 final
but would really need the 2.6 first at minimum
and could get the 3 speed from somewhere.

Sounds like you want an overdrive five speed. The 63 has closer ratios

prefer a 4 speed as the torque of the supercharged A will be plenty f
or the road and freeway. Also 63 series are too rare/expensive for the A
and would be cheaper with custom made 4th gear.
i just hope I can find a 2.6 for first and that the 1 to 1 from the
3speed fits the later 4 speed boxes.

I wonder if there could be a way to weld up an overdrive gear from say
a corolla box or a 63L series box to the 56a final 4 speed.

Sure there's a way. Dan Hall made a bunch of 60-series 4speeds with added overdrive. They were offered for sale right here several times over the last 12 months.

I don't know how he did it.
