half tempted to go guard mirrors on the wagon, as i dont really want door mirrors...well mirrors in general. but on the guards they could just be cool enough

I'm just worried about having a very narrow field of view if its mounted on the fender.

I had reservations of mounting the fender mirrors, but infact, I can now see more, especially other cars that are right by [just behind the B pillar] In addition you can just glance to the left or the right and still look forward, It took me a while to get used to it, but now that I run them, I prefer them.

what are the materials like on them any plastic sections?

Nick, if you are not sure try saving your money and go for
a big curved interior rear view mirror.

I must agree I love the guard mirror look for a long time
but problem is the parasites that damage them.

No plastic bits that I can see, even the base plate is Galv. The bolts are just nickle plated though.

theres a plastic bush which allows the mirror's to pivot, I'll post a pic, I'll have to move the passsenger side mirror to a new location as it doesnt tilt inwards enough for me to use it, the passenger loves it though :)

They do look good, and appear to be of good metal construction
