Well,... the big hand is on the..... Ahhh,.... who cares. Sometimes i wish it was the late 70's again.
Surely you don't suggest that Queensland is the state of confusion? Couldnt be, Joh retired a very long time ago.

Well, here I am again, and right now, it is 10:49 pm,dec 31 2003. it"s raining here in my part of calif.(snowing in WASHINTON STATE!!) and the forum I"m usually at is a little sparce.only a couple of members on-line,waiting for the new year to arrive.I got the wiring done in the 1200,installed the driver seat, and took her around the block-no brakes! wont do that again!! I"m going to the department of motor vehicles tomorrow morning and get my tags-I love 73 and older cars here..no smog,no inspection...Heck,you could put a hemi in a cast iron bath-tub,and register it!I"ve heard horror stories of trying to register vehicles in some countries...how is it there??? Well, the registration requirements are not quite like California, thank christ.
In NSW, all cars over twi years old must have an annual inspection to certify compliance with the relevant minimum requirements. This is our "pink slip" or certificate of inspection. Unregistered cars must undergo a much more comprehensive inspection & there are far fewer places that can handle it. If the car is basicly stock, & in sound condition, then no problem except for the damn inconvenience & cost. This incpection certificate is the "Blue slip" Modified cars will require more attention, depending on the degree of mods, but generally an engine swap will require an engineers certificate, & the other systems in the car will need to be able to handle the upgraded performance. As a rough guide, most dynamic systems will need to match the systems from the donor car that provided the engine. This can be fairly flexible, but a good relationship with the engineer supplying the certificate is always a good idea to avoid spending big bucks on something that simply will not fly with him / her. Horror stories often come from people who try to get something on the road thats best left on the trailer. Our system might be difficult for some, but for those with a little inteligence, we can work with it. You can view topic.
