Have a uni assignment (Architecture) involving a multi-storey building, basically involving a full documentation set.

We've just past the design development stage and now moving into documentation, I'm going to need some help with most of the services (electrical, hydraulic, lifts, HVAC) and will require a little guidance with the structural side of things (concrete beam spans, bored piers, column & column pedestal specifications etc etc).

I don't intend to completely inundate you with questions! Just looking for a nod and a little advice on drawings.

Don't have much to offer (I obviously can't afford your rate per hour), but I'm sure we can work something out!

dont you pay thounsands per semester for your uni lecturer to teach you this stuff?

We have engineers who come in but when there are over 80 students you can understand that they can't see everyone.

I'm on uni break doing the documentation on my own as everyone else in my group is away. I'm seeing if there is anyone here who can help me while I put it all together with as minimal re-work as possible.

Lecturer's can't possibly know everything about each specific engineering field dude, you of all people should know this.

Ahh okay sorry. I'm not in dire straights with it, I just need advice from the fellas in the know. During the break, no engineers come in. And I'm 5 people short, so any advantage is great.

just tell the rest of your group to get off their arses and get onto it too. uni breaks are just a break from lectures

Nah they're all out in the bush on a construction project (elective) I did it a few years ago so I didn't have to go. I'm keeping up against the other groups who have 6/7 people working on it but it's killing me. Have to adhere to BCA as well which is really time consuming (well we always do but this time round it's full on/strict, in the past they've been a little relaxed).

can you just refer to the appropriate australian standard. they are all online and i can PM you a log in to veiw them if you need they can be saved as PFDs but terminate after 3 days or something. i have a free acc from tafe im doing an advanced diploma of mechanical drafting did a semester of civil but its not my thing haha let me know if you need help with the standards though
