i think i've seen mirrors that clamp onto the rain rails.. that would be good for rego, then just un-clamp.

ive been back on the tools again, always good to get some progress happening..

Firstly ive been able to source a brake adaptor plate (aidaniel) for my brake upgrade.. This allows me to ditch the old tiny brakes and upgrade to some ca18 brakes which i got ages ago onto my original struts.

It required a brake adaptor plate, some grinding (3mm) of the original hubs so the new bigger rotors can slide on, and then it all bolts back together :), its a huge difference in size and stopping power as you can see in the photos.

thanks to my mate puffy for the grinding :)

Also ive been off to earls for all my raditor return pipe and fuel lines/fittings etc to go with my fuel pump and mounting bracket ive had sitting in a box for over a year..Ive think ive worked out where itll be mounted etc now so all that can be fitted - stay tuned

And in a spot of right place right time, i nabbed this brand new seat of MATTY on here up in qld which my parents were nice enough to collect for me and bring down to sydney which bolts up to my factory rails - no modification needed. I might retrim it black or just throw it in the car every now and then when my 29 year old drivers seat is not up to the task!!!!

today i started dimantling my door to get the regulators etc out to put on my new doors.. all going fine until i realised i CANNOT for the life of me removed to screws on one of the doors for the window regulator..
ive sprayed the hell out of them with wd40 etc and im to the point of stripping the screws?????

any ideas, im thinking of drilling em out but dont want to damage the regulator itself - i dont give a crap about the door just the guts of it..

Try an impact driver... they do wonders..
If not a little heat, then let it cool then should come undone..

with help of my mate puffy, we installed the fuel pump under the car and mounted the filter and braided hosing to the engine.

Picked up a fwd manifold and grinded it in half, which will do for test/starting purposes until a custom exhaust is made.

picked up an alternator belt and finally fitted the alternator and pulleys back on the engine

sent the radiator to westside for the outlets to be turned 90 degrees to suit the rwd piping i need. They did a great job too

got my slimline 10" thermo fan to keep things cool.

bought an air filter, blue foam with chrome surround to tie in with the blue sh*#t i have going on in the engine bay

installed my gearstick and gearknob onto the gearbox

sorted out which started motor i needed to use after realising i had just degreased, sanded, painted and refurbed the fwd one
:( i will now need to do the same for the rwd i NEED to use

had my car features in the build section of zoom magazine - they wrote the car was being built by "simon" even though my name is adam ...

oh and during the madness had a baby girl GEORGIA who is now 2 weeks old :)
