I know, either they are being extremley cautious or it is nasty stuff, either way
I am not going to risk it.
If it is as bad as the msds says, it suprises me that I can just buy it.
The sheet says the vapours sink in air and are explosive.

If the urethane idea turns out to be a dud, the parts will have to be made from silicone, and I will have to find a suitable material to brace it with.

Msds's are always over cautious though, the thing I'd be worried about is having a reaction of some sort from over exposure.

I went through a stage of 2-packing floors when they were upgrading all the ambulance stations, I done it 3 days straight at one stage and my face puffed up like someone bashed me lol. only time to ever happen though and done it since with no dramas

Ok, The paper work that I was given had info for the transport guy, The SCBA and gas suit is in case the product is on fire.
That is by no means clear on the paper work I was given, The MSDS explains it in a clear manner.

I searched the manufacturers web site and found the actual MSDS.
Now im not too scared to use it.
I was wondering how I could buy such crazy stuff with no questions asked.
Turns out im just a dick head.
I still need to be carefull and use nitrile rubber gloves and chemichal glasses, ect.
Looks like im back in buisness. Ohhh Yeah!

Beetwenty, hats off to you for all the effort. Don't cook yourself in the process though. If you are willing to make more then your set I am certainly keen for a better replica than my old tyre inners! Name the price after all this R & D I reckon they'll be some damn good wheel cover boots!

Looking on with interest.

When I get it sorted I will be happy to make up some more sets for whoever wants them,
I will just be after material costs, if there are only a few sets to make.
If I need to make alot then I will add time.
and any postage costs if pick up is not an option.
Everybody I have dealt with in the datsun community has been very helpfull.
It seems fair to do the same in return.
Don't hold your breath waiting for these as they will be a while before they are done.
I still have many many hours to go on this project.
