Wombat, there are some shorter ones (15-18mm around about compared to bpro manifolds) that also incorporate a 22 degree (approx) approach angle. They look a little like the NZ SSS ones but have more angle. Also very similar to the Nismo units in length and angle but still shorter & steeper.

I just got rid of a set and have managed to find another for my new head, I prefer them to most manifolds.

Well if you find another one like it then please let me know I have only about 10mm's clearance with the carbs and firewall.

Pretty sure Dundee has one too, might be worth shooting him a PM.

Sure thing Troy,

I actually had them all lined up a day or two ago and the difference is definitely noticeable. Whether it gets them out of the way of the things in your FWD engine bay might be another question, they are definitely shorter and they definitely sit the carbs up higher (but still level).

Gimme a day or so to get the pictures up.

The other manifold to look out for is the Datsun Competition twin sidedraft one, that is fairly short. None of them were made to suit webers though as many of the used ones you come across have a slice taken from them for where the choke mechanism platform fouls with the manifold.......Mikuni's all the way I say, they fit better and run a diaphragm facet pump (end ramble).

Chris

Thanks Chris that would be great. If I can get this site to allow me to post a pci I can show how much clearance I have (or dont have).

With small 13-15mm bellmouths on the carbs I have roughly 20-25 mm clearance.

Yeah okay is that a 'GX' Brand manifold, if so you could definitely save yourself another 10mm minimum 15mm max with the angled manifolds. Another way to get a little extra is to machine the flanges slightly, I guess you could even machine the carb flanges if you were really that tight for space but I think that may be a no,no. You could certainly gain another 5mm easy.
