Oh sorry, I thought you meant you had found the problem. It's always interesting to know what the cause is.

Good luck with finding it, get back to us if you have any more drama's a video is always helpful and pictures to some extent.

If you can get it to rev by slowly (very!) opening the throttle but not by quickly opening it, I would also say accel pump.

You should be able to see a squirt of fuel in the carb throat when you slam the throttle open (take the air cleaner off to see and try it with the engine stopped).

Theres a good squirt of fuel with the motor off and the float is about half way up the window, but I did notice fuel coming out about where the carb meets the manifold......

Timing should be OK at 10 degrees initial (idle). More important is the timing at 4-5000 rpm (i.e. mech advance all in).

Too much initial advance usually just means it might be hard starting.

I would suspect a fuel issue first..

Today I rechecked the float level and relised it was out and was running way to lean, after resetting the lenel it went better but still not great. I checked the accerater pump, the piston seams ok but there is a tear in the boot on the top. Tommorrow I will richen up the mixture and see if that helps...
