1000 clutch cable is different to later ones
Cause it pulls straight up and acts on a rod type fork

4-speed to 5-speed doesn't matter.

There are two types of clutch cables for the later type: small-hole and large-hole. It depends on year(?) of the transmission that you have.

•small clutch cable hole in transmission

versus

•large clutch cable hole in transmission

See Clutch, section "RHD Clutch Cable"
