haha jordy ,after talking to u on the phone my computer crapped its pants !
i tryed starting it cos i needed to put water in it (after fixing a small leak) and the fuel pumpdidnt work so i tested for power at the pump ,earth but no power, so i then checked at the relay for the negative trigger fromt the computer ,and found out that there was nuthin
so i checked the harness plug ,still nothing ,so i swapped computers and she started straight away
wonder why it died though ,everything is run through relays

Mik, just cause we're in Perth doesn't mean we dont do things properly. I have selected a nice Dulux exterior paint from Bunnings that can be tinted to almost any colour, just need to buy a decent roller to apply the paint!

hells no mik ,no way is this thing getting a drift spec spray job
and nigel you might be onto something ! we could wall paper it ! or use rollers ,either way hahaha (no way are we doing either !)
ok so yesterday carps came around and welded the radiator mounts nto the support and i fitted up the dahs without the pad on it
so today i bought a nice peice of ally plate to make a panel for the gauges ,it is the full length of the dash and it will be riveted on ,and im going run the relay harness through the dash and then mount the relays on the face of it so i can easily get to them ,then mount my ignition ,fuel pump and start switches on the dash too ,with either missile covers or just leave then as chrome switches
as for gauges im just going to stick with a tacho (nice and big with a shift light) and oil pressure ,water temp ,and volts aswell
and i started mounting my new boost gauge on the piller awith a hose clamp screwed into the column ,and it just clamps the chrome cover on the back of the gauge
ok so my plan is to ge this thing done or at least fairly pressentable to take it to the MAX car show
that is my new year resolution !
ok so im going to put in a good days work on saturday with
mounting the seat doing the dash stuff (apart from gauges) stripping sound deadener off the inner gaurds and little bits on the floor pan inside roll passenger side rear gaurd bog some stuff and sand the passenger side rear quarter some more , im not entirely happy with it yet
thats about it ,im an my own the whole weekend so i can do what i want
next im gtoing to try and find a good set of 2 tierods then get them machined to suit the s13 ends ,which im going to get tomorrow (dads first bit of sponsership hahaha)
oh and i did a skid tonight too ,on the concrete out the front ,i rolled back abit then fed it too it haha was pretty good ,didnt struggle too much

oh and there seems to be a rather large water leak which im pretty damn sure is coming from the water pump
i changed the turbo feed pipe tonight so thats stopped leaking
but the real problem is ,when the motor doesnt have any water in it ,it runs like a dream (i only backed it out of the shed and filled the water up) then as soon as it is almost full of water (when the water temp sensor gets surrounded by water) it starts to spit a little out the exhaust ,so my question is ,could it be timing ?? cos the computer would be ruinning warm up enrichment when the sensor is dry ,which alongs more fuel and ive heard less timing
SO if the timing is out then it might advance a little when the water temp sensor gets hot and lets the computer know the motor is warm
if not that then im going to pull the plugs out and pressure test it and check the oil for water ,if it has done a head gasket ill put head studs in it and a steel gasket !
if its not the head gasket then it could also be the manifolds leaking water into the inlet !
which means ill have to pull the inlet maifolds off and put new gaskets on them ,put it all back on and hope if stops !
plug test is going to be my first check though
im getting abit dishearted about this CA
