ive heard around 200rwkw from an unopened one, just bolt ons

over 700hp from one still at 1800cc...dont think many people stroke them

its turbo'd, you just up the boost and make sure your tune is good

If you want to become a CA18 expert, take a gander here-http://forums.nicoclub.com/ca18de-ca18det-forum.html

Take a good look at what other people have done to their engines.
In truth the biggest determining factor is the tune.

Have to agree,it's all about the tune.I have 218 atw's running an EMS computer SR turbo at 12lbs of boost and tuned to perfection.A good half day on the dyno with a good operator will get you good figures and more importantly reliability.I've not had to put a spanner on mine after over 18 months of hard competition

as stated a few times above teh tune is the key, they are tough little engines!

Im replacing the headgasket with a cometic one and adding arp headstuds, on a stock engine im aiming for over 250rwkw through the auto on E85 on around 22psi... my new one later in the year should make close to 350rwkw.

As Pig said there is the one from Yatala making over 750hp, just depends how drivable you want it and how deep your pockets are

Is it a street car? have you been in a car with that much power? let alone a 1200 lol.. Not being rude or anything but that power in a street 1200 would be scary fast.

To make that power you will need to run a fair amount of boost, so building for that is the key.
Forged pistons and rods, a properly prepped crank and bottom end. ARP studs throughout for reliability.
Decent headgasket, and probably some decent cams. Obviously you will need a fuel system to cope, that will set you back neary 2k.. and a ecu add around another $1k. Id say you would need a medium framed turbo for that power too, eg GT30, GT35 etc.. a GT2871R could prob make a bit over 250kw.

Then you need a drive train to cope, also you need to stop. lol there are alot of factors to think about besides going fast.. for an engine built to those specs, drivetrain to cope, fuel system and decent brakes you would be looking at well over $10k depending on what you can do yourself and whatever hookups you have

haha agree with wardy, if its a street car then go for a drive in a 150rwkw 1200 first and see what you think
i had way less than that and it was more than enough to make the speedo more of a novelty than anything else when you gave it a bit

im wanting to get around 180rwkw, which i figure on the street should be sufficient to have bad traction issues in 3rd...not that i'd drive like that on the street or anything
