when is this going to happen?

well currently hells has frozen over in vic so i guess simon hasnt got an excuse

Its running and half tuned. I`ll finish the tune and take it to a reputable dyno shop to get the final HP figure and graph and post it up to see who gets the Cash.

The dyno im using at the moment is a little HP happy. Its already showing 152Hp atw! I`ll take it to either a Dyno dynamics or a Mainline dyno for the sake of this competition.

I have to make a decision.... What has happened is, i didnt finish tuning this engine. I have had the car out a couple of times (Winton and Mallala) and the boost doesnt really come on until 4800rpm but the power starts to fall at 6000rpm because of the standard cam.

Yesterday i pulled the cam out to change it for a 300deg cam.

Im going to have to give the money out based on the only dyno figure i have with the standard cam cos thats what i said the engine would have in it.

The figure was 152HP atw.

what do you think the figure will be with the new cam?

The wastegate was set at 14psi and was making about 150FtLb of torque at 5500.

The new cam should shift the same torque up to 7250rpm

Was: 150ftlb at 5500

So.. (150x5500)/5252 = 157hp

New: 150ftLb at 7250

(150x7250)/5252 = 207hp

I`ll be adding about 2psi aswell taking it to 16psi

Should be about 165ftlb

(165x7250)/5252 = 227hp

Thats probably close.
