hahya i can learn on the coupe the ute is different haha it is getting painted and staying painted for a while haha plus it has to look straight haha so when your free bailz ill pay you to do them :D

i was going to get a set rolled cos ebay ones are .8mm steel and it would be heaps easyer if they were 1mm would it ?

would it be possible to blend the sills with the existing paint ? i dont realy want to paint the whole car cos ill find stuff in the process and at the moment i need to get it presentable so i can drive it on my Ps ! then when i get another car to drive to work i will sort out anything that might come out (rust !)

ive had the ute for over 2 years now and there has only been one rust bubble form since the day i bought it ,so it cant be too bad under that pretty paint haha

eBay ones are factory remakes. U can stick them on easily and get heaps of room to paint the inner sills whilst your in there.. 0.8mm is just fine...

ok but they arent long enough haha ,mine are rusted out at the back too at the bottom of the rear quarters ,its not completely gone but its still rust ,would i be better off bogging that bit or putting a patch in there ?

ive got a complet sill on a sedan to use and its rust free so it should be ok for the front lower bits of the quarters

ok so today i picked it up and it goes a heap better ,i put my foot down and it actauly pulls haahaha

also i put a set of hotter plugs in and adjusted the throttle pump rods so it now doesnt studder :D but it jerks around just before the cam starts working ,so im guessing thats normal !

and i seen a grown man piss his pants in pinjarra ,he was quiet drunk and was strolling down the street when he must have had the sudden urge to pee ,when he tryed getting his pants down, a wet patch appeared in his pants and i realised why i dont go to pinjarra too often hahahahhahaha

must have been laughing at your cars stutter.

good work to get it going better. my car stuttered with the twin su lpg in it just before the cam kicked in. not enough draw from the engine so overfueld for a split second before the cam profile kicked in at 3800rpm.

ok that explains why mine does it then!

i also noticed alot of unburnt fuel comin from my exhaust pipe when i nail it

im defs getting an autometer o2 sensor soon ,then i can tune it to an perfection ,tim did a great job but it still runs rich up high and a little at idle ,when he set the idle he said he went up more then he thought was needed cos it was popping but he didnt put his o2 sensor on the car so we dont know how far out it is :(

still it runs and once its moving it doesnt bog like it does at idle sometimes ,so at the moment im going to leave it and change stuff when i get the o2 sensor !!!

next im getting new pads fpr the front and putting my new rotors on aswell

today i put the overflow can on and now it cant spit all the water out ,it blows some out then recovers it instead of just blowing all the water out slowl till it boils !

ok so ive found out why the hell my ute is running so rich !

i was looking through my paper work i got back of tim and found out that he put

main air jets =170
main jet =137.5

??????????????????????????????WTF

i said to him that it needed 160 main air jets and 135 main jets ,and event then it would run rich ,so why would he go bigger on the jet that needs to be smaller ?

all i want is to get these carbs sorted ,i am realy thinking of selling them and putting a standard carb on it ,only thing stopping me is i know if i get the mixture a little leaner it will have noticable power gains over running so rich

not sookin just abit pissed i didnt get what i was told i was getting and i told him i wanted it FIXED ! not half done :(

thats all he bought ,i told him to buy a few sets cos i would pay for them them sell them to anyone that needs them

so he only bought one set ! and i said i wanted the o2 sensor put on it to get it perfect or closest to it ,and he said

"i dont want to put it on cos i already know its running rich "

so WTF i said fix it ,i want iot finished ,ready to go, not "oh yea it still runs rich"

i dont get it ,he wouldnt do it to a EFI car so why my ute ?

i will pay the money if its done right ,but he ahs pretty much got it running ok to get it out of the shop

hhmmmm maybe try somone else ,that will finish it properly

ok so tonight me and dad went for a drive and i ahve to say its the hardest ive ever belted it ,and it loved it
up the revs its a little champ ,pulls and is realy responsive up above about 2000rpm its great but when i take off unless i drop the clutch it bogs and almost stalles ,it happend comin out onto a main road!!! i almost got cleaned up!

oh and i was coming up to a corner ,and dad said to me ,just stop for a sec ,so i did then he said now give it shiet and see what this thing does with the twins

spin the inside wheel in first then pulled second ,kept on spinning till it got up to about 20kms haha

next test was at the corner to covs on gordan road ,being a hugely wide corner i pulled into the corner tight and flicked the wheel a little ,which ended up a little sideways hhahaah was great fun !!! i see why twins are the go !

im going to pull the throttle pump rods off cos at the moment they move the pumps about 4mm and it bogs heaps at low revs

so i guess if i take the rods out it will take off like it used to ,and it didnt bog before i had the pumps either

so that is the plan and i have some pics ,its abit dirty but still im happy with my baby :D
