Holinger can make it if you are prepared to spend the cash. The reality is that nobody will spend $7K on a datsun gearbox for an A series. However I have talked to them about adapting a pintara or any 71 series box to an A series using an auto bellhousing but even then they are thin on the ground but there seems to be an abundance of 56A bell housings. So that is where my next move is. And furthermore, with the old group A stuff coming out for a dust off all the old Getrag BMW 5 speed 1:1 box's are coming out and enquiries left and right about close ratio Datsun gearsets are being talked about again. So lets just say that I am working on an affordable kit for a standard synchro 5 speed for the serious power lads. I am pretty sure I am on a winner with something that doesn't require welding. We'll see soon enough. Anyhow, thats not what this thread is about.
The bottom line is that when it comes to gearbox's, nothing is impossible, you are only going to be hindered by your wallet.
