Its interesting to note, that despite all the post whoring going on here, this thread was started by young Joel, asking how he could lower the engine to fit the frypan under the bonnet.
Somehow, this thread has managed to get back on topic eventually after many pages of ,lets be honest, crap.
Joel. List what needs to be done. Next to each item, list the steps that you have already taken to try and resolve the problem, so that folks can prepare reasonable answers, advice, and be prepared if you con them to come around.
Eg Issue/Symptoms : brake pedal feels spongy when first applied, but gets harder the more I pump it. Steps taken: I have checked the fluid resiviour and its full. I have checked each wheel cyclinder and there appears to be no leaks. I checked this by removing the wheel, and drum to inspect inside as well as inspecting the outside of the backing plate. Other : The wheel cyclinders look to be the original units.
With this detail and level of information, you will find people will be able to point you in the right directin, and give you some more help. You go away, do the suggestions and come back with the resoultion. It worked! or nah that didnt work, and update the problem list with what has changed if anything.
Tackle one issue at a time and make it easy on yourself. Once you have worked out all the easy stuff, and all that is left is co-dependant issues left, then the gurus might decide to rock up and help out.
