strripping emission stuff

i know most of you are in aus and probably dont have to deal with emissions but im about to swap an a14 for an a15 and want to strip out as much of this crap as i can, my question is if i make the car look like the tidy motor in the picture, what real life difference will it make to my exhaust. if i have the option between having a bunch of dumb tubes in my car or blowing a ton of smog ill choose the tubes...

Yes, it will blow a lot more invisible emissions if you remove the emission control systems.

I recommend leaving it all working. Lots of guys have problems after removing the parts, but for racing (non-street) use it can be ok. See Emission Control last section.
