"I'm pretty sure the ones that Pitroad sells are manufactured by Tomei and are the same pistons I have in my A14. Pitroad had given me like a year estimate for production so I ended up buying a set that Feral had. They're great quality and I've bought other stuff from Pitroad. They were fast with the shipment but the language barrier sucks because they use translation software so you have to write things to them in the simplest form for an accurate translation. Matsuoka sells cast pistons in 79mm too but they don't deal internationally I don't think. Andy (when he gets back) goes to their shop on a regular basis though I think."

Are they worth $840 ??? Well, you can get the same from Wiseco for about $500.

Cast pistons generally are better than forged -- for most uses. But there are some usages that require forged. For example high pressure racing usage. High boost and/or drag racing compression (14:1).
