i was looking at that petronix 1741 electronic ignition set, will it bolt straight into an australian distributor?

if your saying its for a datsun have you every considered a ford edis ignition system wont cost to much either!

na lol i meant into the aussie a14 motor, cause it was an american site i thought it might have been for the american ones, its $70 bucks and bolts in instead of the points seems pretty easy to do

Yeah mate, works well for me so far and at that price I thought it was too good to be true aswell.
Just have to see how well it lasts.

levey was there differencr in engine operation better cold startup or smoother idle also is the gap specs preset??

My engine is so far only home tuned so I cant comment on cold start etc, the gap is preset on the one that I purchased, pretty much follow the simple instructions and away you go!
