#1 EOI...maybe chasing A14 in a few months... please give advice
ZigZag Posted on: 2011/4/21 10:44
as the tittle says i may be looking for an A14 in a few months. regretting selling my A15 to Gavs dad lol.

im having trouble deciding which direction to go with my white ute engine wise, easiest option would be to build a tough A series and maybe add boost later. then there are conversion options like a NA CA18 which has the benifits of EFI and CA's are getting pretty cheap and everything will be set up if i choose to slap a DET in there later. the next option is to go 12A scrotary, probably the most expensive option but after seeing Anges ute on the youtube vids its got me excited.

so there is my dilema. i would like some advice, pros and cons, experienced thoughts etc to help guide me in my choice as i would like to start picking up little bits and pieces along the way as i work on the interior and panels.

idealy id like something that will run 14-17 second quarter mile runs day in day out and be driven once a week to work.

Rotor ,do it once do it right

Think about it this way ,if you built an a series you could end up putting 5000 into it and it wont be reliable if you push it to get 14 second passes

Buuut if you spend the same money putting a ca or rotor in you might get away with spendinf the same money ,making more power and it would be reliable

Im still thinkinf of putting my ca in my ute ,but I dont wanna chop the tunnel ,andthen theres the problem of being on p plates too

dont have to chop the tunnel for CA just needs a lil massaging with a hammer, these are the words of Kev Rowley who has done around 40 CA conversions and is twisting my arm into CA land.
