I had a awsome weekend even with the 10Hr drive each way. Concourse was good and Wakefield was awsome. Was great to catch up with the NSW boys as well always good times to be had with them I know the table at the dinner was having fun lol. And see Ben I told you it all comes down to the driver lol if a near standard y can cut a 1.20 then mine should be alot quicker I just need some more track time to gain some confidence and the quicker times will come. All in all was a tip top time bring on datnats 2013. And the red and white engine bay is mine :)

we had 2 goes at the hill climb, and basically 6 flying laps of the short circuit and 9 flying laps of the long track.
it would have been better to ditch the hillclimb, short track and shorten that long ass lunch break to get 3 or 4
more sessions at the full circuit (another 9-12 flying laps)

I only think they should have shortened lunch to maybe 10min, long enough to get a feed out to the officials. The short track and hillclimb are very rarely run at wakefield and using them offers the lower powered cars an opportunity to do well.
I found the hillclimb very challenging and couldnt come close to getting it right after 2 runs, a 3rd run would have been good i reckon.

i see your point Tyrie, i guess the difference is that i live 700km away from wakefield so i'd rather
spend more time on the full track because it probably wont be till the next goulburn datnats that i return.
Its an awesome track im my opinion, 3 short sessions just wasnt enough for me!

the hillclimb was fun, but i reckon the short track is done on the wrong end of the circuit

The Fiat Nationals have been held there for the past couple of years. My brother has done around 100 laps each time and loves the place.

yeah i agree ange, piss the hillclimb off and the short track. the classes/groups give lesser powered cars a chance to get confidence. more time on the big track is definately a goer. if everything went smoothly 9 timed laps were available. We effectively started the long track at 1:30 and closed at 4, i would have loved two or three more goes at it!

at PI they just throw eveyone in the deep end!

"It was such a blast to run up against much much more powerful machines and have a go. Down the straigts i would get monstered back under brakes and corners the little 1200 was as good, and in some cases better than most. I think a higher powered A-series is on the cards. I think the suspension and brakes are up for sub 11's, more power and driver practice, I think it can do it."

Sub 11's eh Benny .........
Better get that race licence and show us the way around - Chris Peterson's 1200 can only manage a 1:12 so your 1:11's will be great to see!

Big shout out to Chooie - 1:09 is damn good - can't wait to race with you at the creek mate. Should be a ball!!!
Cheers
