I thought terrorism only really works when one of the parties is not aware/ready(armed) for the violent actions being forced upon them. Which is why I thought it was called terror-ism.
So the people and families of the World Trade Centres wouldn't have been armed. I'm guessing they didn't get a memo of the impending doom either. Osama though had plenty of warning and should no doubt have been ready for this eventuality. So the fact the he was unarmed and surrounded by his family should exclude him facing his actions somehow? Unfair? Really! But then, is that murder...
