So I've got my GF's Datto Ute For Sale, cos she's looking for a newer daily driver.
No other reason for the sale, its a reliable and fuel economical daily driver. Would be perfect for a P-plater or even better a engine transplant.

Now it was bought 2 years ago as a project from a man in Epping where it was stripped. We brought it home, further stripped all the exterior panels off the chassis, ready for new panels, not because of rust but mainly cos they were so bashed-up. We welded on all the replacement panels so it was ready for paint. The paint is NOT perfect, it was done at home, and was sprayed by an experienced painter but not a professional. The top clear coat though, was applied by a licensed spraypainter.

The tray was stripped, and coated in black sound deadener as a durable coat to seal it. The inner guards are also coated in the deadener. The tray skins are rough but its covered by a custom plywood hardcover, which was sealed in fibreglass and painted to match the body.

The wheels on it are Performance Lotus 14x6" which fit pretty good and have 90% tyres. The brakes are only drums all round but had all new shoes and wheel cylinders fitted 6 months ago, and are fine for the standard driveline.

The driveline itself is just as it came, standard a12, standard g/box, standard H165 with 2" blocks. Had a major service + tune 12 months ago, and has been serviced every 5000km since then. Only just replaced the fuel pump as the oil gasket was leaking. Apart from that there are no oil leaks and doesn't use any oil or water.

The interior is all custom brand new with light tan trim. Roof lining, bucket seats, embossed door trims, kick panels, sunvisors, and even dash was recovered.
The dash fascia was painted to match and has a CD/DVD/AUX player mounted above a LCD pop out screen. There's also a woodgrain steering wheel + gearknob.

It has been on the road now for only a year, and have had no problems with it at all, has been a smooth reliable daily driver for her. If there's any other questions you can PM or contact me on 0411197256, preferably after 6pm.

They are painted on layer by layer, first taped with fine line airbrushing tape then covered to avoid overspray. Will put up photos of it in the process tonight.

The graphics are painted from the top to the bottom, weird i know but thats the way my GF was taught in her TAFE class. She did it for 2 years at Wetherill Park with one of the best artists in Sydney. The base colour is marked out in fine line tape then masked and covered to avoid overspray. It is then painted and this is done for each solid blade. Then a 'pinstripe' is layed around the edge of the blades just as the body was. Its a very time consuming process but this is how it is done. Then once that is finished, highlights are added with the airbrush gun to soften the lines and give it depth in the design.

We did it all ourselves, and so we have all the leftover paints if they are needed. Also there are loads and loads of spare parts leftover from the build as we have had a few and are looking at moving on. Ask if you are after anything!
