the tension rod horn as i call it is the factory one for the car. instead of leaving it as the pull thru tension rod, i opened it up by cutting a large enough hole, then i took and narrowed down the s13 adjustable rod at the pivot end so it would fit in the the bracket since it is double walled. drilled a hole in the bracket. and good to go.

Summer time blues, lots of daylight but still no time to work on the car, did get the h165 diff in new brakes and calipers, some GAB adjustable rear shocks on, my new teflon intake gasket, ported the intake mainfold, new fuel rail, some 550 injectors, fuel tank is finally finished after three times into the shop. got my fuel pump. made up my fuel lines 5/16. went to the wrecking yard over the weekend and scored some nice black interior pieces, including an uncracked black dash pad. and got stung by a yellow jacket do to nest under the dash.

well the intake manifold is finally bolted on for the last time, i hope, took the car to the fab shop, to redue the trunk area, so the fuel cell will fit the way i want it too, should turn out good when it's done.

the extra 5 gallons of gasoline weighs 30+ pounds.

a racing fuel cell is good for safety, isn't it? It is like a regular fuel tank, but with a self-sealing rubber interior seal and a foam type filler to reduce sloshing.
