Does anyone know if I disconnect the oil
pressure lines on top of the head and then
weld up those areas to block them off will
I be able to just run this head without the
VVT function interferring with lubrication
of the camshafts?
the front feeder lines feed the cvt solenoid
which will be taken out.

VVT? Oh thats for the cam. Just leave the solenoid there and don't connect the wires. It will work as a normal cam.

It retards the camshaft for high-RPM operation. Kinda like vTEC, only better because it is VVT.

Why would you NOT want this? It adds beaucoup horsepower. The Nissan VVT like NEO or GA16DE can be controlled by a simple switch, don't even need an engine computer.

Its has some kind of ecu control required unfortunately
and doesnt look period retro which is vital :)
however 500cc more should cover any torque issues from 1.4
to 1.9 litres and an programmable inginition like the Megajolt
junior should help further with the low end torque.
Im also thinking of running long inlet runners.
