We've got an old T model in the showroom at the moment. Creates a bit of a buzz! Bloody kids think it's a jungle gym!

I'd rather a ford than a Holden. Have friend that was an engineer with them and they di design and make decent cars, they just dont sell them here, like most manufacturers.

Nissan made bug mistakes by nit establishing the skyline here from the r32. They would have sold heaps of 4 doors to families over the ea and vn. And that would have made us design and sell better cars for the local industry sooner.

China, India, Korea are all going it, we missed the boat on manufacturing on a grand scale, that's why we are seen as a design ceneter and engineering not manufacturing.

As for auto park, can we de skill drivers any further? Should focus on safety avoidance and braking like Volvo

I can't get upset with kids now that I have one of my own. I've gone soft!

On the car production thing, we're just too darn expensive to sucessfully build cars here. We all want to get paid too much. Ford was going to build the Focus here but decided that it just wasn't going to work. I wish they did from an availability persepctive but not if it meant they cost another $2000 for the exact same thing. Just doesn't work.

just get indonesia partnership with mazda right and theres your production availability especially with the free trade agreement.

if honda can do it so can ford.

if people ar buying altos made in india, ford should ship the fiesta thing from there. i know thats not a bad car at all, better than anything the chines could do currently.

this is what nissan need to do with datsun. make half decent cars in emerging nations and sell them cheaper than japanese sold stuff. then they can rebrand into infinity again and its a win win for consumers and prodution.

you need another couple kids shoota, you harden up again quick smart.

I accept your parenting advice o wise one!

The Fiesta is currently made in Thailand (free trade agreement).
The new Focus will come from Germany (old one came out of South Africa) until mid next year then switches to the Thailand factory as well.

It's all about the dollar now-a-days!
