Looks like when he smacked the curb he lost his steering, the thing just wanted to go left.

It looks like an early morning run? that'd be sweet waking up to watch a Datsun screaming through the streets.

youch, you can see the LF breaking the steering at 0:47, looks like clipping the kerb busted the tierod or something in that area..

Have experienced that myself tapped in 4th in my rally car. Clipped a culvert and it just tore the steering out of my hand and spun us into the ditch. Busted the tierod and bent a few other bits but luckily I didn't hit anything solid like that poor chap

Nothing like a tilt front end to save a 2dor datto racecar or any classic old coupe for a new and better lease of life.

I dreamed of a tilt front end for my r100 then I was done for by a late2work driver through a red light. Insurance was going to give me 5.5k for market value (it was 12K @the time) I agreed as long as they didnt write it off. Got a 2.5k Rod Hadfield-like front end, 1.8k cage mods + FRP panels and I got what I wished for in a round about way.

So lucky the car just missed hitting the light pole. Especially being LHD, it was a close call.
