hi most of you probably still remember me when i had issues with my a15 carb on my a12 engine that kept stalling off idle

i had rectified the problem by using a larger primary main jet from size 101 to 130 but this used way too much fuel and fouled my plugs!

so yesterday i put in size 110 jets and i can make it run without stalling by having the mixture screw in at around 2 and half turns out but then the engine wont idle!

i dont know how to explain it but when it try to increase the idle speed it increases but the rev is all over the place goes from 800 to 1000rpm and the engine isnt smooth it sort of sound and fells like its shaking realy fast!

i can get it to idle fine if i go to around 4 turns out of the mixture screw but then off idle it hesitates or dies!


any ideas why this is happening when adjusting th mixture screw and why either dosnt work in one way or the other???

ok so i have one question what are the affects of running lean at idle is this any of it?

seems like engine missfire but when given speed is smooth?

engine idles bad fluctuates up and down?

i was reading this from the tech section about weber carbs and says mixture 2 turns out and idle screw 1 turn out wont this bypass the idle circuit i know this is just base settings but was curious how many turns out of each you have on you hitachi just so i can get a idea!

also do hitachi carbs have idle jets or is it the primary main jet that supply it with petrol were does the petrol go then from the jet how does it go to carb throat?
