Didn't know which section I should post this in but on the weekend at the Rockhampton Rally Ian Oglvie had a pretty bad off in his mighty 1200 coupe. I felt absolutely gutted when I found out. At this stage the family are uncertain of the extent of the injuries but I know I'm praying he makes a full recovery. You guys should too cos apart from him being like a father to me he's a good friend of our Datsun and rallying comunity.

This is a cruel reminder of how dangerous motorsport is even for the guys with the experience who have avoided crashes like these a thousand times before.

Holy #OOPS#. This is horrible news. I was just wondering on the weekend if Ian was still racing this coupe.

Ian sold me the coupe I have now, and his workshop is where most of project has been built.

Keep us up to date Aiden.

He's already been offered another coupe for reshelling\donor parts and seeing some of the carnage it's been through previously I have faith that it will be repaired. As for Ian I haven't heard anything today but I'll see what I can find out tomorrow
