On my way to work today, I saw a car smaller than a 1200. Smaller than a Mini, maybe even smaller than an original mini.
It said "Home" on the front and "Smart" on the back. It had a regular Washington state license plate (not manufacturer plate or anything). This is odd, since the Smart car isn't sold in the US as far as I've been able to determine.
It reminded me of some mad sci-fi vehicle, like an exo-skeleton around a driver ... the driver sitting bolt upright inside a little glass machine with four wheels ...

This one was tall and squarish, like a tardis or a phone booth on wheels.

Well, it gave me a hell of a fright seeing a car come across the harbour and up the boat ramp. So apparently it's an 'Aquada' boat/car thing. At $400,000 I guess they are targeting the 'rich idiot' niche market. After that, seeing a car small enough to park sideways in a parking space doesn't seem so crazy.
