Do leaf springs from coupe fit in a ute and vice-versa?

Tech Wiki isn't clear on this. Thanks.

As far as I know they are all the same lencth, it is just the thickness and number of leaves that differs..

Utes are designed to carry more load so have more/thicker leaves.

Does this mean you could lower you car with ute springs, but use less of them? Because they will be stiffer.

Ute springs have one additional helper spring that is short and stiff, it's a load sprung at bottom of the pack. So sedan and coupe have 3 and ute has 4

When the eye is flipped they actually heat the eye and rebend it under the spring, that way you still have the same curve etc in the spring but it is now mounted approx an inch lower.
Flipping the eye isn't a DIY thing, it needs the right gear and people to do the job, after heating and bending the eye it needs to be re-tempered etc.

Anyone that can reset leafsprings should be able to flip the eyes.

As versus just flipping the whole spring pack over which is just stupid dumb..

The benefit of flipping eyes is that you lower the car while still having an arch in the springs, if you then reset the leaves lower you will loose some arch but mot as much as without flipped eyes.

I guess the limit depends on how much travel you have before bumpstops come into play.
