Hi i was just wondering how tight the spring needs to be on the heat flap riser manifold.. I can push it easily with my finger is that suitable? Cheers, Tom

Hi, the tension sounds ok, just check that when it is driven till normal operating temperature that the flap is close, or all the way to the stop position where you can turn it by hand when cold. Cheers

Cheers supremo just wondering which direction the weight should be in when the flap is closed! now the manifolds are bolted together I can't remember! haha

Hi, when cold you should be able to turn it clockwise. When cold the flap directs exhaust gasses up towards the intake manifold, (open) When hot the flap closes and direct the gasses directly out towards exhaust manifold, keeping it away from the intake manifold.
