Louix - you should seriously consider the following

standard SR20DE 105kws ate
TopGear A12T 100kws atw
(below 12psi)
use T50 and you are laughing.

A series draw through turbo well setup like "TOPGEAR" one
but instead a15ET using cast vitara pistons, prepped rods
and stock head with good small turbo should make 110hp atw
on pump fuel if well tuned stromberg and h2o/meth inj.

Bang for bucks no common NA SR20DE can match it once
labour is calculated into the swap or to make the same
power. You simply have to spend money on the manifolds
and good dyno tuning. A good exhaust mani will cost 500
and good inlet should cost 600 like Topgear`s one.
Use a reco t25 for 350-450, 1.75 SU $80 and youre mostly
all ready for it. Vitara pistons handle just below 25psi
or just over 350hp as D16 honda tuners swear by.

thanks for the input mate but im looking into the future with the sr20de and would look at heavily working it as a n/a, i was thinking of using the autech s15 sr20de but im thinking it might take too bigger chunk out of the wallet at this point.

A worked SR20 is a headache and expensive
you best go SRXXVE motor with Serena bellhousing
to suit fwd bolt pattern and you have almost
200hp of the bat with some simple refinements.

Converted made 150rwbhp from a stock SR20 with quad throttles & Autronic ECU. That will be far more reliable and less troublesome than a carbied turbo A series.

Also know a bloke with an S13 Silvia with S14 SR20DE (higher CR 10:1), changed over to the turbo loom with CAS and coilpacks to allow him to use a nistune on the DET ECU, RB20DET AFM, and Tomei cams making 175rwbhp with the stock inlet manifold.

Or you can get about 100rwkw (134bhp) with just basic inlet and exhaust mods.

Think I might scrap the L16 plans...
