I just bought a 210 endurance road race car and would like to connect with any one that is doing the same. I have very very little knowledge of the datsuns and "imports" in general but have been a gearhead for over 30 years thrashing the "big three" stuff. I reside in the US.
The car currently has an A14/4 speed and A120 rear. I need to increase hp with a pushrod motor as the one now has only 50 rwhp. I need about 100 to 125 at the rear. Car only weighs 1500 dry so this should make it fly. Want to install a larger readend to support the increased hp. I will be running the car an a series where the format is twin 7 hour enduros or 12 hour enduros or a single 24 hour enduro. Car has to be reliable. Any help to this newbe would be greatly appericated.

Peter Zekert can sell you an engine like this or parts. You won't need a larger rear end to handle this extra power, as the extra torque increase is minimal.

Just curious, what series are you running?? SCCA/NASA/Lemons/ vintage etc.
Also I am curious about if you ran "big three" stuff, was this outside the USA per chance................it's always interesting to get a different point of view from ours. Finally welcome aboard, you'll find Datsun stuff is pretty tough. Tom

I run in Chumpcar series. I run in a stable of 6 car/teams out of Kansas City. We run the datsun, nissan 240sx, sprite, (2)honda CRX's and an opel sedan. We all come from other series but have found this EXTERMELY challanging and difficult not to mention above all, affordable. Lots of seat time. Our series motto is " Real Racing, Real Tracks, Real Cheap Racecars.
The series has posted the 2011 schedule and there are 42 races scheduled at REAL tracks. For example, Daytona, Sebring, Texas World, Charlotte, Michigan, Road America, Portland, Heartland Park, Road Atlanta, VIR. You can check out the series at Chumpcar.com. Believe me everyone that I know in this series takes this racing VERY serious. GREAT FUN! I have only run/wrenched previous series in the US...some dirt, and road racing. If I can I will try to include vintage in the future.

We have a couple of guys that run Chumpcar and Lemons, one of them just won his class at Targa Newfoundland. Now Chumpcar was meant to be fun but once you get drivers in cars..........who doesn't want to pass the car in front.............I've driven the wheels off cars in an effort to pass the car in front, even when it's not even in my class!!!
