there is a wicked old school pump which i have been using, it's from the old L28 patrols, they actually had two on each car, you can get them for $40-60 at a wrecker. Between me and brother we have used quite a few and never had a problem. Had to laugh when i saw them for sale brand new still... sold as "V8 supercar" lift pumps for $600-700. The beauty is the 30-40 year old ones are working as strong as ever. Not sure on flow rate but its keeping up with my CA18DET, gives the typical 3.5-4psi you want fed to a carby

I have one of those I bought for 60-80 bucks from a friend. Probably some wierd advice but don't power them off the coil! I broke a few relays from that. POssibly the pump but I'll test it all out at some point.

In other news, this sort of pump can be found on series 2 910 bluebirds and various 80's Nissans. I wouldn't mind knowing what sort of pump Oges has though cos it flows plenty for him and has a nice "Gahrahhhh" noise to it, not like those Bosche 040 pumps everyone raves about

nt1200,
In my opinion its better to spend an okay amount of money on a "quality and proven" product as it turns out more reliable and cheaper in the long run.BUT ofcourse if you can find something cheaper and proven to work for your application thats good too.

I'm planning on using a Nismo electric fuel pump when i put the vehicle on road.They are being sold on ebay for au$183.75 plus au$33.85 shipping to oz by Bprojects Brand new.

This pump is an excellent pump of the longtime seller in Japan.
It is very liked by a Japanese and widely copes until at circuit-driving and street-driving.
Please install a fuel sub tank if for competition purposes.
And add this pump. the dual pump system is high-performance.

The Nismo electric fuel pump is too high pressure for carburetor it will require a regulator.

The Nissan service fuel pump (looks identical) is what I use on my A15 twin-sidedraft engine.
Same as 1200rallycar showed.
* New: $175
* Used: I paid $15 for mine. They came on Datsun 720 trucks here.

Here's what the Nismo catalog says:

Quote:
17010-A7600 ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP
Due to 7 PSI, a regulator is required
