New forum user here. I have a 1979 datsun 1200 ute that i am part way through converting to DC electric powerred.

Ive just finished a basic respray and want to install carpet. ebay listings for carpet lists it as specific to models 1972 and prior .

Can anyone confirm the carpet will fit my 79' model?

I tried searching but no luck.

yeah it will fit to a degree.
my experience tells me that they wont just fit in and away you go. normally they will need a trim to fit properly.
specifically behind the seats and around the door/kickpanel area.

72 and earlier is probably for the Sedan & Coupe. If one piece it won't fit the ute. If it is 2-piece then the front piece should fit but won't go all the way back.

check out knox carpets in vic, i got mine done by them works a treat, comes in two pieces under the seat and in front.
